Una nueva mirada en la mediación pedagógica al encuentro con el sentido del aprendizaje en los procesos educativos

Universidad Nacional: Una nueva mirada en la mediación pedagógica al 146 Usability The following information provides the analysis of the second category which was about the evaluation of the website’s usability. Figure 2. Student’s evaluation about the usability of the website. Own construction. Figure 2 shows how students evaluated the usability of the website. The first important aspect to mention was the guide provided by the website through its exercises. All of the students evaluated as exemplary the way in which the website guided them through its exercises. Similar cases were presented when asking students how the website guided them through its tabs, 11 out of 16 students evaluated it as exemplary while 5 of them evaluated it as accomplished. In terms of website consistency, 9 out of 16 students evaluated it as exemplary, 7 out of 16 evaluated it as accomplished. When evaluating the website’s speed of loading, a variety of evaluations were received. For example, 7 out of 16 students evaluated it as exemplary, 6 out of 16 students evaluated it as accomplished, and 3 out of 16 evaluated as as developing. In this case, Niederst (2003) stated that “Quick downloads are crucial for a successful user experience. If your pages take forever to download, your visitors may grow impatient and go surf elsewhere. At the very least, they’ll get cranky” (p.1). That is why it was important for the students to see how fast the website loaded.
